As many of the other reviews state, the Oriental Residence Bangkok gives the impression of a smaller hotel which makes the whole experience more tailored and personalised, which I found to be a great touch. The room I stayed in was clean and well-kept, however a strong off-putting damp smell was evident in the bathroom area - possibly a one off. I found the location to be in a really nice and upmarket area, but generally a minimum 10-15min walk to get to anywhere of note - including the local train station, which was tiring in the 32+ heat. Nonetheless, a great hotel in the area!

Way overdue for this review—I stayed at the Oriental Residence last October. I usually have a couple go-to hotels in the area, but this time I decided to try something different, and I’m glad I did. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The hospitality was outstanding, the service was top-notch, the location was perfect, and the views were great. A special thank you to Mr. Wat, the Head Concierge, who was exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. He recommended authentic local Thai restaurants, assisted with storing my luggage, and even gave me a wake-up call to ensure I didn’t miss my taxi to the airport! His attention to detail and genuine care were a perfect example of Thai hospitality. Thank you, Mr. Wat, and the entire team for such a wonderful experience. I will most likely stay here again on my next visit.

A cozy, luxurious hotel. Rooms are nice and somewhat spacious, has everything you might need. The staff are very sweet and attentive they made our stay perfect. The only thing is that the location is a bit far for me. Anything would be 15 minutes walk minimum which felt a bit inconvenient for me. But overall, a very nice hotel

Had an incredible, five-star experience at the Oriental Residence. The hotel has the feel of a smaller, boutique hotel. Every single person we came into contact with went above and beyond to make us feel special and pampered. Other reviews mentioned location isn't within walking distance to some attractions; however, we loved the location as it is in a quieter (and pretty) area close to embassies. AND taxi fares to just about anywhere we wanted to visit were $9 USD or less. Super convenient. We could still walk to Lumphini Park and restaurants. We opted to add the breakfast option and were so glad we did. Breakfast includes a small amount of buffet items PLUS a full menu of delicious breakfast choices (including my favorite eggs benedict with truffle hollandaise). This will be my new go-to when visiting Bangkok. They took great care of us.

Our family stayed at this hotel for five nights and had a wonderful experience. We would especially like to thank the hotel manager, Ms. Ploy. She was very responsive, efficient, and proactive in addressing all our requests, always with great politeness and professionalism. The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance of many commercial areas. The swimming pool was a big hit with our child. We also really appreciated the breakfast arrangement — well-portioned dishes with the option to order additional items, which felt thoughtful and avoided unnecessary waste. Thank you, Ploy.
